Dr. Eye II or Dr. Rob as he is known, is passionate about serving the Shenandoah Valley as a dentist and health care provider. He is proud to be a 3rd generation dentist, following in the footsteps of his grandfather and father. Dr. Rob attended the University of Florida on the Florida Bright Scholarship. He then was chosen to attend the Virginia Commonwealth University at the Medical College of Virginia Dental School in Richmond.
He has gained a well-rounded education as he attended several different schools while moving around stateside and overseas to Turkey during Desert Storm as his dad was in the U.S. Air Force. In his youth, he earned Eagle Scout rank with the Boy Scouts of America and received “The Outstanding Eagle Scout Award of the Cherokee Strip” in Oklahoma. Since moving to Virginia Dr. Rob has served as a contract dentist through the Virginia Department of Corrections in Augusta County ensuring that everyone has access to good dental care.
Dr. Rob has memberships in the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry. Additionally, he has Fellowship in The International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI). He works in tandem with his father, Dr. Kenneth R. Eye at both dental offices in Woodstock, and Harrisonburg. Dr. Rob is very family oriented and welcomes new patients into his “Dental Family” at these dental practices.
He is married to Lidia Ester Eye, M.Ed., Ed. Admin. Certification. She is a local graduating from James Madison University Graduate School and earned a master’s in arts (MA) in Spanish while studying abroad in Spain from The University of Salamanca. Lidia teaches high school Spanish at Broadway High School. She is an Adjunct Professor and is Faculty at Bridgewater College and Eastern Mennonite University. Additionally, she serves the community by being on the board of Roberta Webb Early Childhood Education Center for underprivileged children. They have a daughter, Jordan Francesca Eye, who reigned Miss Sunburst at the annual Sunburst Pageant in the tri-state area.
As a family, they like to spend their free time exploring the outdoors, enjoying the beach in Florida, traveling abroad, and playing with their blue nose rescue dog from a pit-bull foundation in Maryland.
